Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Swim Instructor and inspire confidence and skill in swimmers of all ages and abilities! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging, safe, and effective swimming techniques that promote water safety and enjoyment through the Starfish Aquatics Institute program. Whether working with children or adults, your enthusiasm and guidance will help foster a positive learning environment that encourages progress and builds lifelong water confidence! Responsibilities Lead engaging swim lessons tailored to individual skill levels, from beginner to advanced Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water conditions at all times Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills clearly and effectively Communicate progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment in compliance with health and safety standards Assist with water safety drills, emergency response procedures, including AED operation and first aid when necessary Support team efforts by participating in training sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development Requirements Prior lifeguard experience or certification is preferred, but not required Proficiency in swimming Experience around children is preferred Ability to adapt teaching style to a child's needs Certification in first aid and CPR/AED is required; willingness to obtain if not already certified Ability to work and commit to Wednesday and Sunday mornings Passion for growth, motivating others, and creating happy moments worth remembering! Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 5.0 per week
