This role places a strong emphasis on spiritual leadership, character development, skill instruction, and program support across all levels of the athletic department. The Assistant Coach / MS Head Coach must model integrity, servant leadership, and professionalism while helping develop student-athletes spiritually, athletically, academically, and personally. Responsibilities Assist in planning and conducting cheer practices, focusing on skill development and teamwork. Provide support during games, offering insights and motivating cheerleaders. Teach fundamental cheer techniques and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with the head coach to evaluate player performance and progress. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, encouraging sportsmanship and personal growth. Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in cheer Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage and motivate student-athletes Background in physical education or related fields Knowledge of various sports, including basketball and martial arts Experience in childcare or youth sports programs is a plus
