We operate out of our own training facility and are growing our softball program. We're looking for an experienced leader to help build it and guide it. The Role As Select Softball Director, you will lead our softball program from top to bottom: setting the vision, developing coaches, recruiting and retaining players, and creating a culture where athletes grow on and off the field. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves the game and knows how to build teams, coaches, and families into a community. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the select softball program, including team formation, tryouts, rosters, and age-group structure Recruit, hire, train, and mentor coaches, and hold them to high standards of instruction and conduct Design and implement a player development curriculum, from youth through high school age groups Plan and manage the tournament schedule, practices, camps, clinics, and facility training sessions Serve as the main point of contact for players and parents, communicating clearly and building trust Support athletes through the college recruiting process, including exposure, showcases, and coach connections Promote and grow the program through community outreach, events, and local partnerships Manage program budgets, registration, and reporting in coordination with ownership Uphold safety standards, sportsmanship, and a positive, respectful team culture Make the best use of the facility for training, lessons, and team use Requirements College softball playing experience (NCAA, NAIA, or JUCO) Extensive coaching experience in select/travel, high school, or collegiate softball [minimum 5+ years] Proven ability to develop players and coaches Strong knowledge of fastpitch fundamentals, strategy, and the recruiting landscape Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with athletes, parents, and staff Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to pass a background check Availability for evenings, weekends, and tournaments Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching at the collegiate level Prior experience running or directing a select program Experience with hitting, pitching, or defensive instruction Familiarity with the Central Texas softball community Current CPR/First Aid certification What We Offer Competitive pay [and performance incentives] Access to a dedicated training facility Opportunity to shape and grow a program A supportive, family-oriented organization Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your playing and coaching background.
