  • Part-time Acro Teacher needed at Crosby Dance Academy!
CDA is looking for a mat tumbling / dance acrobatics coach. This position would start in the summer, and we can work with your availability! Currently, we are a recreational program with a small competitive team. We host two recitals per year. We are looking for patient, yet energetic dance instructors to join our growing family!
Job Responsibilities:
Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that inspires excellence and commitment to achieving goals. Stay up-to-date on new dance trends and training methods. Instruct students in proper, safe dance techniques in an effective and encouraging manner. Balance fun with rigor and passion.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 year studio teaching experience. Special interest in teaching young children. Ability to relate to, motivate, and energize students of all ages and skill levels. Comfortable with generating age appropriate choreographic material. Adequate knowledge of dance vocabulary and technique. Ability to work within the guidelines of a curriculum. Adequate knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. Knowledge and able to spot dancers on skills from forward rolls, to back hand springs BA Degree in Dance highly encouraged, but not required.
