Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a COED Step Team Coach, where you will inspire and lead young athletes in developing their dance, cheer, and step routines. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster teamwork, boost confidence, and promote physical activity among students. As a key part of our extracurricular programs, you will create a positive environment that encourages skill development, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Your energy and leadership will help students excel both on and off the stage! Duties Design engaging and age-appropriate step routines that challenge and motivate students Lead practices to teach choreography, timing, coordination, and performance techniques Foster a supportive team environment emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork Monitor student safety during practices and performances, ensuring proper use of equipment Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff about team progress and upcoming events Promote a positive attitude toward physical activity, encouraging lifelong fitness habits Experience Prior coaching or teaching experience working with children or youth in sports or performing arts Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams or groups in a school or community setting Knowledge of dance, cheerleading, or step team routines; experience with choreography preferred Background in sports coaching such as soccer, basketball, climbing, or martial arts like karate or martial arts training instruction Familiarity with health and safety protocols including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and behavior management techniques Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and skill levels to foster inclusive participation Strong communication skills for effective client (student/parent) interaction and team coordination Join us to make a lasting impact by coaching energetic students in a vibrant environment!
