Job Description
About Us Soccer Pups is a premier youth soccer training facility dedicated to fostering a love of soccer in children aged 3 and up. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and educational environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game. Position Overview We are seeking a confident Trainer who can effectively communicate with staff, family, and young players. The ideal candidate will have a background in soccer and experience working with children. This role is essential to ensuring our sessions run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Coaching Leadership Assist the Facility Manager in planning and executing training programs, events, and activities. Organize and lead practices, including "Circle Time," drills, games, and scrimmages. Facilitate seamless transitions between warm-ups, games, drills, scrimmages, and water breaks. Assist young athletes in player development, fostering team unity and sportsmanship. Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a positive and supportive environment. Delegate tasks effectively to other coaches. Program Development Develop games and drills with the guidance of the Facility Manager. Player Supervision Organize, train, mentor, and motivate young players. Ensure all players are engaged and participating safely. Customer Service Provide excellent customer service to parents, guardians, and visitors. Address concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Community Engagement Foster a positive and inclusive environment. Build strong relationships with the local community to promote the facility's programs and services. Qualifications Experience Prior experience as a soccer player or referee. Experience working with young children is highly preferred. Skills Patience and understanding for working with young players. Ability to remain calm in stressful environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and motivational abilities. Ability to address and engage large audiences. Knowledge Understanding of youth sports programs and child development. Attributes Dependable, responsible, and proactive.
