About us The Dance Gallery is located in Big Spring, TX. (a sufficient travel stipend will be provided for coaches/instructors coming from the Midland /Odessa area) We provide classes in Dance, Tumbling and Cheer for ages 18months to 18years and have been in business for 40 plus years! We are creative, fun, inspirational and our goal is to Give adequate training in dance, tumbling and cheer for children and teens while also providing a safe and fun environment. We want to create a lifelong positive impact on all of our students. We are proud to be an "More than just great Dancing" affiliate studio. The Dance Gallery is hiring a Tumbling Instructor! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Tumbling Instructor or Acro Instructor the 26/27 season from Sept-May. The ideal candidate will be passionate about tumbling and or Acro, have excellent teaching skills, and be able to work well with children and teens. Safty first always and proper training, spotting and progression knowledge is a must. Need to have a great personality and awesome social skills. Pay will be determined on knowledge, ability, relevent experience and performance and over all credentials. Opportunity to make more with private lessons, summer classes and admin tasks. Will pay for travel for teachers coming from out of town.
Skills:
Knowledge of Tumbling/Gymnastics/Acro fundamentals, technique, safety, progressions and leveled curriculum. Ability to teach classes based on the principles and values of The Dance Gallery. We pride ourselves in not just teaching tumble, dance or cheer but going above and beyond to make a positive impact on all students' lives. Ability to work well with children and teens. Excellent communication skills and a positive, nurturing attitude. Must have their own reliable transportation and be punctual.
Responsibilities:
Instruct classes in the classroom, including breaking down and preparing for each class according to The Dance Gallery values. You will need to have a leveled lesson plan to help adequately progress each student per level with prop safety precautions in place and drills to maintain and harness each skill. Create and implement a safe learning environment for our students while also engaging them and creating a focused environment while also making it fun. Make sure safety is key as well as progressing each student while maintaining the fundamentals and basics of proper tumbling technique.

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
