Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence and skill in swimmers aged 3 months-12 years old! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote safety, fitness, and a love for water activities. Working with children your enthusiasm and expertise will help participants achieve their goals while fostering a fun, supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for swimming, sports coaching, and teaching into a rewarding experience that makes waves in the community. Duties Lead swimming lessons for diverse age groups, focusing on water safety, stroke development, and physical fitness Utilize customized lesson plans that cater to individual skill levels and learning styles Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety procedures to students of all ages Incorporate additional creative activities to enhance water confidence and overall physical activity Maintain a safe environment by monitoring swimmers closely and enforcing safety rules at all times Manage behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning experience for every participant Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize group activities or special events. Requirements Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in sports coaching or instruction, teaching, or Swimming is highly desirable Strong background in child development, behavior management, and physical education instruction Knowledge of water safety protocols and lifesaving skills; certification preferred but not mandatory Experience working with students of various ages and abilities in a health club, swim club, swim school, or gym setting is advantageous Passion for teaching physical activities to babies, children, and pre-teens Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all levels Ability to maintain a safe environment while fostering fun and confidence in water-based activities Join us to make a splash in the lives of our community members! We're looking for energetic individuals ready to inspire others through active learning and positive reinforcement. Must be available on Saturdays and late afternoon/evenings Monday-Friday as needed.
