Description/Notes:

Perryton ISD is located in the small town of Perryton Texas. Population is approximately 8,500. Located in the Texas panhandle about 7 miles south of the Oklahoma state line. Perryton ISD has 6 campuses ranging from PK-12 and has a total enrollment of about 1700 with 540 of those student enrolled at the high school.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate Demonstratedpetency in instrumental music Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automatic external defibrillator (AED) certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Ability to interpret data Strongmunication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Student teaching or approved internship and band directing experience
