Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Assists with skills instruction within health science programs. Assists with administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director and under the direct supervision of the Program Director. Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental searchmittee for consideration in case a need arises for the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as needed basis. Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning oues identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom. Teaching modalities may be face-to-face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Hours vary, depending on the need and course scle, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction. All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and ad to College policies and prores. Required Education Graduate of a two-part, structured program in phlebotomy consisting of didactic & laboratory, and clinical training; provide current phlebotomy certification recognized by NAACLS All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degreepletion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstratedpetencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application. Associate degree and/or 2-5 years work experience in the field of study; Bachelor's degree and/or 6-10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Master's degree and/or 11-15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.
