Our Tyler, TX location — in the heart of Southeast Tyler, convenient to Whitehouse — is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, energetic Swim Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time position with approximately 10-15 hours per week and flexible scheduling across days, evenings, and weekends. You'll work with swimmers across all skill levels and age groups — from infants and toddlers to adult learners. Candidates with a current CPR certification, 2+ years of swim instruction experience, and a WSI certification will be prioritized when scheduling interviews. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply. What We Offer $16-$18/hr, commensurate with experience and certifications 401(k) with employer matching — available to part-time staff (this is rare, and we mean it) Flexible scheduling built around your availability On-the-job training and curriculum support A team that's genuinely passionate about water safety and swimming What You'll Do Deliver structured swim lessons using our proprietary curriculum across all skill levels, including swimmers with special needs Provide instruction for infants, toddlers, children, and adults — comfort and experience across all age groups is key Demonstrate proper technique and enforce water safety protocols at all times Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to participants and families Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment Deliver excellent customer service in every interaction What We're Looking For 1-3 years of swim instruction experience required; 2+ years preferred Experience with infant and toddler programming required CPR certification required WSI certification strongly preferred Strong ability to work with children and adults of diverse ages, backgrounds, and abilities Knowledge of behavior management techniques Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant plus Availability across a mix of day, evening, and weekend hours
