Elite Head Swimming Coach & Program Director Location:
Chatham, Virginia Position:
Full-Time Reports To:
Athletic Director Build a Championship Program Hargrave Military Academy is seeking an energetic, relationship-drivenElite Head Swimming Coach & Program Directorto build one of the premier boarding school swimming programs in the country. This is an outstanding opportunity for a coach who is passionate about recruiting, developing student-athletes, and building a nationally respected program. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of the Hargrave swimming program while mentoring young men in a college preparatory military environment centered on academics, leadership, character, and athletic excellence. Primary Responsibilities Build and lead a highly competitive swimming program.

Develop and implement a year-round recruiting plan to attract talented student-athletes from across the country and internationally.

Coach and develop swimmers to reach their highest athletic and academic potential.

Plan and conduct daily practices that challenge athletes of varying ability levels.

Prepare athletes for success at the collegiate level.

Develop a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture.

Schedule competitions and coordinate team travel.

Work collaboratively with Admissions to recruit and enroll prospective cadet-athletes.

Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, athletic trainers, and school leadership.

Supervise and mentor assistant and developmental coaches.

Manage the program budget, equipment, and uniforms.

Represent Hargrave Military Academy with professionalism and integrity on and off campus.

Support the Academy's mission of developing leaders of character.
Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess:
Proven success as a head or assistant swimming coach.Demonstrated success recruiting student-athletes.

Experience developing athletes for collegiate swimming.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

A passion for mentoring young men both in and out of the pool.

Knowledge of USA Swimming and high school swimming competition.

Ability to work evenings and weekends during the season.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications USA Swimming coaching certification.

ASCA certification.

Experience coaching multiple age groups or high-performance athletes.

Experience working in a boarding school, college, academy, or similar educational environment.
