Softball Instructors and/or Travel Coaches Needed

HammerZone Sports is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable Softball Instructor and/or Travel Coach (12U & 14U) to join our coaching staff in Fairfax, VA to teach/coach fastpitch pitching and hitting. This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about athlete development, enjoys working with athletes ages 18 and under, and is comfortable coaching both foundational skills and modern training concepts. Position Overview The Softball Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction through private lessons, small group lessons, and large group membership-based programs, camps, and clinics. Coaches will work with athletes ages 18 and under, helping them develop skills across all aspects of the game while fostering confidence, accountability, and a love for Softball. Key Responsibilities Ability to work with highly motivated and energetic team of Coaches and Instructors Conduct private and small group lessons for Softball athletes -- Pitching Coaches & Hitting Coaches needed (do not need to be the same coach) Lead and assist with large group membership programs, camps, and clinics Teach and develop skills in hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and overall athletic movement Communicate clearly and effectively with athletes, parents, and staff Adapt instruction to meet the needs of athletes at varying ages and skill levels Use modern training tools and terminology while reinforcing strong fundamental mechanics Create a positive, energetic, and structured learning environment Assist with athlete evaluations and development plans when needed Coach travel softball team beginning August 2026 Qualifications Playing or coaching background at the high school level. Collegiate level preferred Strong desire to work with young athletes ages 18 and under Knowledge of both traditional fundamentals and modern Softball training concepts Ability to place athletes in positions to learn and succeed across multiple skill areas Excellent communication skills and professional, positive demeanor Technology & Training Tools Ability to use and interpret data analysis equipment (ex.
