Job Description

Summary Objective:
Provide personal and individualized attention to Capstone Performance Training Athletes, maintaining current and future clients with high intensity, high quality training and guidance. Performance Coaches must exemplify what they require out of athletes; dedication, consistency, commitment, and attention to detail. •This position is currently a part-time commission based offering with potential to increase to full-time•
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain your training business Help retain and manage Capstone Performance Training athletes Monitor, coach, and instruct athletes in safe and effective exercise tactics Support and participate in efforts that promote Capstone Performance Training as the leading sport-specific training company in the DMV through education, effort, and ingenuity
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct fitness assessments for new and existing clients Demonstrate and instruct athletes on correct movement patterns and exercises with fluid, concise, and correct instruction. Respond to athletes and clients in a timely and professional manner with correct information Highlight and promote all activities, events, training programs, and services Participate and/or lead one-time/weekly clinics, camps and events Attend all Capstone Performance Training meetings and technical development sessions Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics Understand and uphold facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing facility and/or workspace Complete all in-house training as assigned Assume other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills Excellent listening skills Ability to motivate and nurture others Always thinking on your feet and prepared to be "put on the spot" Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude Outwardly facing professional appearance Confidence and desire to create new relationships quickly Ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skills Ability to conduct movement analysis, and create appropriate fitness programs for members Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Understand and be able to use Capstone Performance Training specific technology such as: Normatec Rapid Reboot, HyperIce equipment, Vald Smart Speed Laser Timing System, BlazePods, etc...
Required Experience, Education & Certifications:
Previous experience coaching youth athletics Nationally recognized Certification in Strength and Conditioning or related field (NASM, NSPA, NSCA, CSCCa, etc.) CPR/AED required Background in Sports (preferred but not required)
