Position Overview:

The Shenandoah Sharks are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Swim Coach to support our summer swim program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young athletes, has a passion for swimming, and can help foster a positive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading daily practices Provide stroke instruction and constructive feedback to swimmers of varying skill levels Help ensure a safe, supportive, and fun practice environment Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and swimmer development Assist with organizing and running Tuesday evening swim meets Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff

Schedule:

Practices:

Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•10:00

AM Swim Meets:

Tuesday evenings Season runs from May 18 through July 14

Qualifications:

Prior competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred Ability to work with children and teens in a positive and motivating way Strong communication and teamwork skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation:

$16•17 per hour, based on experience How to
