Swim Instructor (Part-Time Summer Position)

Job Description:

Reel 'Em In is seeking energetic, dependable, and patient swim instructors for our FREE nonprofit summer swim lesson program serving children and families in the Richmond area.

Lessons will take place at:

Bellemeade Community Center Cobblestones Water Park This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in the community through water safety and swim education.

Responsibilities:

Teach basic swim and water safety skills Supervise and encourage participants during lessons Create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment Communicate professionally with parents and program coordinators Arrive on time and prepared for assigned sessions

Qualifications:

Previous swim experience preferred Experience working with children preferred Lifeguard, swim team, or swim instruction experience is a plus Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged to apply Reliable transportation Strong communication skills Patient, dependable, and positive attitude

Additional Information:

Background checks will be completed prior to hire Part-time summer evening hours Multiple session opportunities available June-August 2026

Pay:

$25-$35 per hour
