Unarmed Security Guard

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in preventing theft, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and managing conflicts effectively. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises. Must have a valid Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer license. Conduct regular inspections of the site and grounds to identify potential security risks. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor during interactions with the public. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or suspicious activities. Assist in loss prevention strategies by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing corrective measures. Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities. Skills Proficient in conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous. Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying security breaches. Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions quickly. Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people. Understanding of security protocols and loss prevention strategies.
