Job Description

Alburgh Community Education Center is seeking a caring and knowledgeable soccer coach to lead our team for the 2026-2027 fall season. We are looking for an individual who can foster a competitive and supportive environment while helping athletes develop both on and off the field. This is a part-time, stipend position. The season begins on August 26, 2026, and runs through the fall soccer season. Weekly commitments include practices or games as scheduled through the Athletic Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Soccer program, organizing and supervising all practices and games for middle school student-athletes.

Foster a positive and inclusive team climate by setting clear team goals and expectations.

Maintain vital records by keeping an accurate list of emergency contacts and staying informed of the health concerns of all players.

Manage program operations including the care and distribution of team equipment and player uniforms.

Provide specialized instruction by using an enthusiastic knowledge of soccer to teach and develop the skills of the athletes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Demonstrated knowledge of the game of soccer, with previous playing or coaching roles preferred.

Proven ability to motivate middle school-aged athletes and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for teamwork and physical fitness.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with the broader school community.

A commitment to inclusivity, helping to develop an environment that represents and welcomes all students and families.

High-level dependability and a passion for helping young people make healthy, positive choices.
