The ideal candidate will have a strong background in basketball and a commitment to educating and developing student-athletes. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among players. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective basketball training programs tailored to the skill levels of students. Conduct regular practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies. Educate players on the rules of basketball and promote good sportsmanship. Organize and oversee competitive games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor student-athletes' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Maintain a safe environment during practices and games, ensuring all equipment is properly used and stored. Engage with parents and guardians regarding their child's development in the sport. Experience Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in basketball, is required Experience working with students or children in a coaching or educational capacity is beneficial.
