Available for the right candidate STARZ Gymnastics Academy is hiring a WAG Competitive Director & Head Coach to lead and strengthen our competitive program from Preteam through Optional. We are a three-time USAG Xcel Program of the Year recipient with a strong reputation, a positive culture, and a team that believes in doing things the right way. Our athletes and families value structure, consistency, disciplined basics, strength training, technical refinement, and long-term athlete development. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Coach competitive athletes five days per week during non-competition weeks Lead the development and alignment of our WAG competitive pathways from Preteam through Optional Strengthen and expand our Optional program presence Help create and maintain a clear progression system across all competitive levels Mentor, support, and help develop competitive coaching staff Build strong, professional communication with athletes and families Improve systems, structure, and consistency across the competitive program Contribute to athlete advancement, team growth, and long-term retention Travel to meets and coach at competitions, with additional compensation provided

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS
This is a full-time, in-gym leadership role. The Competitive Director & Head Coach will coach five days per week during non-competition weeks and will travel to competitions throughout the season. Schedule details, seasonal expectations, and meet travel structure will be discussed during the interview process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of competitive coaching experience Experience coaching Xcel and Optional athletes Strong technical understanding of progressions, basics, and athlete development Strong leadership ability and professional communication skills Ability to lead within a structured, standards-driven environment Growth-oriented, team-focused mindset
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading or mentoring competitive staff Experience helping grow team enrollment and athlete advancement Ability to improve systems, consistency, and structure across a competitive program
