Middle School Volleyball Coach The School District of Shell Lake is seeking a positive, energetic and innovative coach for the 2026-2027 season. The preferred candidate must be able to assist the Head coach with the following:

Duties:

Plan and execute engaging volleyball practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies. Lead middle school students during matches, providing motivation and constructive feedback to enhance performance. Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and positive behavior both on and off the court. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff about team progress, schedules, and upcoming events. Manage team logistics including attendance tracking, equipment organization, and game scheduling. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all skill levels while emphasizing fun and personal growth.

Skills:

Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or recreational settings. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct during practices and games. Previous experience in sports coaching with a focus on volleyball preferred. Background in other sports such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (karate or judo), or health club/gym experience is advantageous for versatile coaching approaches.
