Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Coordinate all
SWC YMCA
Gymnastics team programs and progressive lessons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Coach the YMCA Gymnastics Progressive Programs. 2. Coach will need to assist in developing the weekly practice structure, organization of the youth gym. 3. Follow Wisconsin YMCA Gymnastics and USA Gymnastics rules and policies. 4. Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures followed. Respond to, and report accidents and incidents. 5. Promote program enthusiastically and gain the community participation by training, directing, and communicating with parents. 6. Lead gymnastics classes while modeling and teaching children the qualities of the YMCA core character values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty. 7. Communicate clear and precise information to staff and gymnasts. Communicate tactfully with children, families, fellow staff, visitors, and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1-5 years of experience and/or training in competitive coaching and gymnastics instruction; or equivalent combo.
Certifications:
CPR/First Aid certified within three months after being hired.
