Teachesfundamental skills. Handles athletic injuries. Cares for equipment. Supervises participants and disciplines team appropriately. Designs quality organization of practice sessions. Designs pre-season planning. Supervises managers and other support personnel. Manages budget. Follows purchasing procedures. Iniates game organizational skills. Follows league, conference and WVSSAC policies. Devotes time and energy to coaching duties. Follows end of season procedures. Complete WVSSAC Training & Certification Program and take KCS Staff Development Training on Concussions

that have been hired after July 1, 2012 who apply to coach on the secondary level (grades 6-12) must have completed the three hour training session provided by Kanawha County Schools and complete the On-line Concussion Awareness Course through the KCS Staff Development Site The training courses will be taught throughout the year.
