Description:

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the early assistant professor level in Applied Mathematics. The position will begin on July 1, 2027. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics by the time of the appointment. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of lower-level courses and upper-level courses in applied mathematics, such as proof-based courses in numerical analysis, partial differential equations, and other areas of applied and computational mathematics. The teaching load is two courses per semester. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to maintain an active, high quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching. Anticipated Annual Salary Range:
