Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor-PhD (Non-Nursing) responsibility encompasses education, research, and/or service. Demonstrates loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of his/her department, school, and the University, and follows the administrative policies set up by the University and the individual school. The School of Nursing is seeking a qualified Assistant Professor to teach intermediate statistics to nursing students and support undergraduate faculty research and evidence-based practice (EBP) projects. Responsibilities include teaching, assessing student learning, developing course materials, providing student support, and collaborating with faculty to integrate statistical concepts into nursing research and practice. Performs other duties as needed.Education and Experience:
A doctoral degree or equivalent professional achievement. Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Nursing, or a related field; knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis; and strong communication and teaching skills.Experience teaching statistics in nursing, health sciences, or higher education preferred; experience with statistical software such as SPSS; and experience applying statistics to healthcare research and evidence-based practice preferred. Active and regular membership and participation in at least one professional society. Minimum of five years of professional higher education experience such as course coordination, curriculum design, faculty development, etc.
