Qualifications:
PhD in Political Science, broad expertise in American policy and politics and methodology.Position Description:
The department seeks a visiting assistant professor for the 2026-2027 academic year, who can teach 4 courses per semester in American public policy and/or politics and can teach • quantitative or qualitative methods (both preferred).Start Date:

Teaching duties are four courses per semester at all undergraduate levels and may include language instruction to heritage & non-heritage learners, courses in culture, upper-division conversation and composition, Spanish for the Professions, film, and translation/interpretation. The successful candidate will join a small but dynamic department and will have significant language teaching experience and innovative ideas for upper-level courses in Spanish. Experience collaborating with community partners and engaging students in high-impact practices and potential to increase student recruitment & retention a plus. The successful candidate is expected to participate in departmental activities and engage in some academic advising.Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in Spanish or a related discipline by the start of the appointment, and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. The field of specialization is open, with a preference for Latin American studies and/or Caribbean studies.To Apply:
