A Ph.D. in the biological sciences is required, preferably with teaching experience. We seek broadly trained scientist-educators who are strongly committed to teaching at the undergraduate level. The teaching component consists of seven courses per year in a 3-1-3 format. Teaching responsibilities will include contribution to delivery of our regular introductory-level courses "Cells & Genes" and "Cellular Processes" and a 200-level Genetics and Molecular Biology course. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence. The James Center for Molecular and Life Sciences provides excellent teaching and research facilities.
