Job Summary Dalton State College invites applications for a full-time, 10-month faculty position in Information Technology, beginning August 1, 2026. Depending on experience and qualifications, the appointment will be made at either the tenure-track Assistant Professor or Lecturer level. Teach. Innovate. Connect. Professional growth and continued learning Teaching responsibilities are 27 credit hours per academic year. Courses may include areas such as:

• Networking and Systems Administration
• Cybersecurity
• Database systems and data management
• Programming or scripting for IT applications
• Linux operating system Teaching assignments may occur during the day, evening, online, hybrid, or at off-campus locations.

About the Department The Department of Technology and Mathematics at Dalton State College provides engaging, career-focused programs that develop problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills. The Information Technology program prepares students for careers in networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, and related fields. Minimum Starting Salary:

$60,500 with a doctorate in a tenure track position; $49,500 for Lecturer. Salary commensurate with education level and experience. Individuals with a masters degree as the highest level of education will have a 10% decrease in starting pay in a tenure track position.

• Applicants must hold an earned masters degree from an accredited with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline. Preferred Qualifications
• Earned doctorate
• College classroom teaching experience.
• Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• An earned masters degree with 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline or a closely related field is required; a doctorate is preferred.
• Evidence of effective teaching or potential for teaching excellence.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach effectively in face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments.
