Job Description

Teaching, Research, and Service Expectations:
The specific title and teaching load for this position are determined by the candidate's academic preparation: • Visiting Assistant Professor (3:4 load): This track is available to candidates who hold a Ph.D. or Ed.

D. It features a reduced teaching load in the fall to support the candidate's ongoing research, scholarly publication, or creative activity. • Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor (4:4 load): This track is available to candidates who are Master's prepared. It carries a standard teaching load of 8 courses per year, with a primary focus on pedagogical excellence and student mentorship.
Core Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Course assignments will include Educational Psychology, Special Education strategies, and intensive field supervision of student teachers in clinical settings. •
Service:
Expectations include participation in departmental meetings and committees, as well as limited student advising.
Qualifications:
Degree:
Ph.D. or Ed.

D. in Education, Special Education, or a related field (required for VAP track); Master's degree in Education or a related field (required for VATP track). •
Expertise:
Educational Psychology and/or Mild Intervention preferred. •
Experience:
Previous experience in K-12 classroom settings and/or clinical field supervision of pre-service teachers is highly preferred.
