5294399 The Accounting and Finance Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time, one-year term position with the possibility of renewal starting in August 2026. Department Highlights The CSB and SJU accounting and finance program is one of the strongest in Minnesota, particularly in a small liberal arts setting. The department is comprised of nine full-time faculty dedicated to close working relationships with students to enhance not only student academic learning but overall student development. Our employment rates and our students' CPA pass rates are consistently well above both state and national averages. College/University Highlights The College of Saint Benedict (CSB), a liberal arts college for women, and Saint John's University (SJU), a liberal arts college for men, are located in the central lakes area of Minnesota, surrounded by more than 3,000 acres of pristine forests, prairies, and lakes. The campuses are minutes away from St. Cloud, an increasingly diverse regional center with a population of over 100,000, and 70 miles from Minneapolis and St. Paul. Some CSB/SJU faculty and staff choose to reside locally, while others commute from the Twin Cities. This position requires a strong knowledge and ability to teach either Auditing or our Accounting Information Systems course, as well as other accounting courses. The candidate will teach 12 credits per semester and participate in department service and student advising. Faculty play a key role in connecting students with internships and jobs at leading CPA firms and organizations by engaging with students and supporting recruiting events. Formal advising is waived during the first year but required thereafter.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in accounting or closely related field (e.g., MBA, MBT, etc.), plus a CPA license in good standing (either active or inactive), OR doctoral degree in accounting or a closely related field. ABDs in accounting-related fields and CPAs with significant professional experience are welcome to . Interest and ability to effectively teach either auditing or accounting information systems.
