Job Description
Job Summary The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM), Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS), invites applications for a full-time (12 month) Tenure-track or Clinical-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Large Animal Surgery. PVM is highly supportive of individual faculty career growth and development. A formal faculty mentoring program is in place. Qualifications Qualifications for the position include a DVM or equivalent degree, and completion of a residency program registered by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), or board certification by the ACVS. Job Responsibilities The clinical responsibility will be caring for all large animal species with a predominant focus on large animal surgery. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. A background check is required for employment by the University. The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skills, and be able to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, house officers and clientele. They will actively participate in the discovery, learning and engagement missions of the PVM and VCS department.
