For complete position description and submission requirements , go to: AssistantProfessor of Music-Vocal (Tenure-Track) Kansas Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in theDepartment of Business and Accounting. We seek candidates to apply for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of GeneralBusiness. The successful candidate will lead the university's vocal ensembles, a central component of its music tradition, whileserving as a visible leader on campus and in the broader community. Provides dynamic, student-centered instruction, fosters strong communityengagement, and actively recruits students to participate in ensemble programs. Key Responsibilities Deliver student-centered instruction, ensuring achievement of course learning outcomes while supporting student retention, persistence, andcompletion. Teach a full-time course load during the academic year. Lead recruitment efforts for assigned ensembles,including attracting new students and engaging current students to support retention. Engage in ongoing professional development toenhance teaching effectiveness and subject matter expertise. Contribute to departmental and university initiatives, includingcurriculum development, student recruitment, and participation in required events and meetings.
Qualifications :
Required:
Master's degree in field, qualified to teach undergraduate music courses.
Preferred:
PhD. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college or university level and a commitment to liberal artseducation. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a diverse environment. Stronginterpersonal and communication skills.
