The Institute for Cerebrovascular and Neuroregeneration Research (ICNR) in the Department of Neurology at LSU Health Shreveport invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Under the leadership of the new Neurology Chair, Dr. Chen Lin, and Vice Chair of Research, Dr. Quanguang Zhang, the department is undergoing rapid growth. Our faculty are engaged in cutting-edge research spanning cerebrovascular and neuroregenerative diseases, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, neurological and psychiatric disorders, as well as pharmacological and non-invasive therapeutic approaches. These efforts aim to elucidate disease pathogenesis and guide the development of mechanistic studies and novel therapeutic strategies for brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and sustain an independent, extramurally funded research program. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong record of scholarship and demonstrated expertise in cerebrovascular science, neurobiology, neuroscience, or neurodegenerative diseases. • A doctoral degree (Ph.D. and/or M.D.) in neuroscience or a related biomedical field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience.
• An outstanding record of publications and a clear research focus aligned with the areas listed above.
• An active NIH grant or equivalent national funding. Preferred Qualifications
• Expertise in molecular biology, genetics, or electrophysiology/EEG.
