Job Description The Computer Science Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin September 1,2027. We will consider strong candidates in the broad fields of quantum computing and/or quantum information. A PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start-up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, externally funded, independent research program. The Computer Science Department at UMass Boston is a vibrant and collegial group of faculty with research interests in Artificial intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Neural networks and programming languages, and significant graduate and undergraduate programs. The UMass Boston College of Science and Mathematics is committed to excellence in research and education. We are a highly collaborative college of STEM including departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.
