About the Job The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Minnesota Duluth seeks a 75% time Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor for a one-year term contract position for the AY 2026-2027, with the possibility of renewal. The contract dates are August 24, 2026 through May 23, 2027.
Responsibilities include:
teaching academic courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, including course development and delivery; serving on committees at the department, college and/or university level; advising students including academic and research advising as well as contributing to outreach activities that support the department's mission. Successful applicants with a terminal degree will be appointed at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in speech-language pathology with a minimum of 5 years of experience or have a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.
D., A.B.D. or SLPD). Have either successfully completed requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in process of completing the requirements for the CCC Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrate a commitment to supporting equity and accessibility in higher education and community settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.
D., A.B.D. or SLPD). Experience in developing and implementing research Experience in teaching in higher education Experience in working with diverse student populations Experience using online learning platforms and developing curriculum. Eligible for Minnesota licensure in speech language pathology.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$50,437.00- $67,250.00 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
