Job Description

The Department of Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery at University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a 12-month full-time audiology position with desired expertise to complement current department faculty. While individuals with broad scholarship and experience are encouraged to apply, desired areas of expertise include pediatric audiology, central auditory processing evaluation & management, acoustics & psychoacoustics, and/or electrophysiology. Duties and responsibilities for the position include teaching, scholarship/research and professional, clinical, community, and or university service. Research opportunities are available through our new NIH-funded Balance and Auditory Research Center (BARC) for applicants with basic science and translational research interests. UMMC is located in the heart of Jackson, the capital of Mississippi. This modern city, containing many historic buildings and sites, is home to a diverse dining, shopping and entertainment scene. Minimum Qualifications Ability to obtain current Mississippi license in audiology required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with patients of all ages with special interest in pediatric patients, or Expertise or interest in acquiring expertise in central auditory processing evaluation and management, or Expertise in acoustics & psychoacoustics, or Expertise in electrophysiology, and Strong interest in teaching and scholarship/research
