Position Description Candidates from all the above areas can . In the case of equivalent candidates, preference will be given to those who would strengthen the department in the area of algebraic geometry or number theory, or who would professionally contribute to the provision of the study program Mathematics for Information Technology, especially in the areas of cryptography or algebraic computational methods. The successful candidate is expected to continue active scientific activity, for grant support, teach basic and elective courses and conduct qualification theses. The position is advertised for 3 years with the possibility of extension. The ability to communicate in the Czech language is expected within five years of joining (i.e. before negotiations on the second extension of the contract). In the case of successful habilitation (a formal procedure to become an associate professor) no later than 9 years from admission, a contract for an indefinite period is usually offered. Expected starting date is February 1, 2027 or September 1, 2027, but in exceptional cases it is possible to arrange another date.
