Full Time (30 Hours or More) Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Description . The School of Business and Social Sciences seeks a new colleague to teach in the Child Development program and to support the new Professional Educators Preparation Program (PEPP) for elementary endorsement (K-6). The position includes teaching undergraduate courses in child development and related areas (e.g., Child Growth and Development, Infant/Toddler Development, Family and Community Engagement). This position also includes an exciting opportunity to partner and collaborate with Windy Hill, Colby-Sawyer's laboratory preschool. This is a 9-month, full-time position. It is tenure-eligible depending on qualifications: tenure-track (with a terminal degree) or non-tenure-track (without a terminal degree). The position begins late August 2026. Applications accepted immediately. Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience working with children and families, familiarity with accreditation or professional standards, and/or experience with contributing to community engagement and partnerships. Responsibilities The position includes teaching, advising, service responsibilities, and ongoing scholarship and creative work in alignment with the criteria in the Colby-Sawyer College Faculty Handbook.   • A doctoral degree in Child Development, Human Development, or related disciplines is preferred; a master's degree is required. ABD will be considered.
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level.
  • A philosophy of education consistent with Colby-Sawyer's programs and mission are required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues related to curricular initiatives, teaching responsibilities and student support.
