Fairleigh Dickinson University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) curriculum with a focus on pharmaceutical sciences. Teaching responsibilities include didactic courses in biomedical sciences (anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology), integrated pharmacotherapy (pharmacology portion), and other relevant areas within pharmaceutical sciences. A strong commitment to active learning, educational technology, and student success is essential. Service on College and University committees is required and will be considered as part of the annual review process. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is located in Northern New Jersey. The College offers an integrated 4-year Pharm.

D. curriculum. Further, a concurrent Master's degree program is available to qualified pharmacy students. The mission of College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is to create a values-based, student-centered learning experience that prepares graduates who are committed to improving the health of individuals and populations through leadership roles in pharmacy practice, health care research, and related health care fields. Our Doctor of Pharmacy program vision is to prepare future pharmacists for diverse roles across the health care continuum through a culture of learning, scholarship, innovation, advocacy, and leadership. Required Qualifications:
Education, training, experience:
  • A Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is required. Understanding of pharmacy curriculum related to pharmaceutical sciences is required. A professional degree in pharmacy is a plus.
  • Faculty candidates specializing in pharmacology are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to adapt teaching to various learning styles and levels of learners are highly desirable.
