Brief Job Description This is a joint Biology Department/Great Lakes Center position. Teaching obligations are 50% of the expected obligation of full-time Biology faculty. This reduced teaching obligation will be offset by higher expectations to seek extramural funding to support research and graduate students. Teaching expectations will be in the area of aquatic biology and environmental sciences. Ability to network with local, regional, and state agencies a plus. Two external, substantive grant applications per year and productive publication activity are expected.
Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in biological sciences or related discipline with broad training and research experience in aquatic biology. Postdoctoral research experience with an active publication record and evidence of grantsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications Research experience in large lake biology, limnology, fisheries, or climate change impacts.
