Manhattanville University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity in the School of Arts and Sciences. This position carries a teaching load of 30 credits per academic year and includes instruction in both Cybersecurity and Computer Science courses. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary faculty committed to excellence in teaching, student engagement, and applied learning. This is a renewable, non-tenure-track position with a focus on teaching excellence and professional engagement.Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.Duties/Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and Computer Science, including foundational and advanced topics. Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies. Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning. Participate in departmental, school, and university service, including committee work and program development. Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to support the growth of technology-related programs. Engage in professional development to stay current in the field.Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first-generation students Ability to teach a range of courses including programming, network security, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.Experience:
Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level. Experience with hands-on labs, simulations, and experiential learning. Familiarity with current cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and threat analysis. Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+). (Preferred)Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Salary:
The annual salary for this position is $72,000-$73,000.Hours Expectation:
Full-time, 35 hours per weekHousing:
