Job Description:
The Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct to grow our adjunct pool. Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to grow our adjunct pool. Instructors are sought to fill lecture and laboratory courses offered in the first two years of an engineering science program including engineering fundamentals, computer aided design and drafting, engineering design and build, statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a master's degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Education or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those with interest and/or experience with robotics and UAV's, teaching in various modalities, and the ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds. In extraordinary cases, a bachelor's degree may be sufficient to fill a vacancy. Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

This is a pooled s earch. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants. Applications will be accepted for the duration of the posting and will remain on file for up to three years. Qualified applicants may be considered for part-time teaching vacancies as they occur. The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on course offerings each term, and it is not possible to predict staffing needs for future semesters. When an opening does occur, selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Level A - $665/credit hour Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
