Job Description

Biblical Principles andExpectations Faculty help to further Malone's mission to provide students with an education based on biblical faith inorder to develop men and women in intellectual maturity, wisdom, and Christian faith who are committed to serving the Church, community, andworld. I. University Overview Affiliated with the EvangelicalFriends-Eastern Region denomination, Malone strives to provide an education that produces graduates with a love of truth and a vibrant,mature faith. Our intent is that students attain the wisdom, knowledge, and skills necessary to serve, engage, and transform the communitiesin which they live and work. To this end, we provide the curricular and co-curricular context in which to pursue the following educationalgoals: Understand and critically engage those bodies of knowledge and cultural influences that have shaped the world. Understand the biblical, historical, and theological foundations of the Christian faith. Think critically and creatively andcommunicate effectively in multiple contexts. Attain expertise in at least one profession or academic discipline and lay thefoundation for meaningful work or further studies at the graduate level. Explore the implications of the Christian faith for allareas of living, including intellectual, spiritual, and community pursuits. II.University Expectations A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and expression of Christian testimony in a church.

In addition, all faculty must affirm Malone's Doctrinal Statement and agree to live in keeping with Malone's Community Agreement. Adesire to work with a diverse community of students and employees who represent various cultures, backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities,political views, and expressions of Christian faith. A commitment to integrating faith and learning within the academicdiscipline. Job Summary TheVisiting Assistant Professor in the Division of Business and Technologies is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction ineconomics, finance, and other business courses as assigned. This position supports the division's commitment to academic excellence, faithintegration, and student development within a Christ-centered learning environment. The Visiting Assistant Professor reports to the Dean ofthe Division of Business and Technologies. IV. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are not to be considered a complete list of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Teach assigned courses in economics, finance, and other business disciplines at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Develop and maintain current, engaging course content aligned with program learning outcomes. Advise and mentor students inacademic and professional matters. Participate in divisional meetings, assessment activities, and program review processes. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support departmental goals and initiatives. Maintain availability to students throughregular office hours. Engage in ongoing professional development and scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline. Integrate Christian faith and biblical principles intentionally within the academic discipline and classroom environment. V. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to teacheconomics, finance, and other business courses effectively at the college level. Demonstrated ability to work effectively withdiverse populations. Experience that validates a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, professional development, andscholarly engagement. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative groups and to produce high-quality workindependently. Commitment to the Christian faith and the university's mission, foundational principles, and educational goals. Commitment to the integration of faith and learning in the academic discipline. VI. Education and Experience A terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Business or a closely related field ispreferred; degree should be completed by the date of hire. A Master's degree in Business combined with significant professional orteaching experience will be considered. Ability to teach economics, finance, and other business courses is required. Priorcollege-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. VII. Working Conditions /Physical Demands Normal physical demands of an office and classroom setting. VIII.
