Cedarville University equips Christian undergraduate, graduate, and online students for godly service and vocational distinction. We offer more than 175 programs of study, all from a distinctly biblical worldview. The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics seeks applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology . Rank is commensurate with experience and credentials. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and the ability to integrate faith and learning. The School of Science and Mathematics seeks to present the natural sciences and mathematics as disciplines through which students can learn to understand creation and its Creator. Our students benefit from advanced laboratories and equipment in our Engineering and Science Center--one of the best-equipped and largest facilities of its kind among independent colleges. Primary teaching responsibilities will be cell biology, biochemistry, and their associated labs. As departmental needs permit, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to contribute to upper-division electives for biology or molecular biology majors in their area of expertise and/or establish an undergraduate research program aligned with their interests and experience. This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials along with other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. H-1B sponsorship may be available for this position depending upon legal and business considerations. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position, based in Cedarville, Ohio, is pending budget approval.
Position Requirements:
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field (ABD considered). Documented successful teaching experience is highly desirable Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member Excellent written and oral communication skills Commitment to biblical integration of faith and science in and out of the classroom Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian Qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement ,
