Job Description

Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Department of Technology and Justice Studies
POSITION SUMMARY
Rogers State University is accepting applications for Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology and Justice Studies, School of Professional Studies.
PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Teach classes in the subject area of Criminal Justice at the Claremore Campus; Assist with CLEET program activities; Participate in campus committees; Advise students through their degree program. Faculty are encouraged to participate in research efforts related to their field.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Design courses with Quality Standard implementation to effectively meet curricular requirements. Develop and use syllabi based on university guidelines. Provide evidence of effective classroom teaching, scholarship/research, and institutional and professional contributions which are commensurate with rank. Evidence of teamwork with colleagues and effective leadership and mentoring skills Effective use of educational technology and methods for on ground, online, hybrid, and distance learning. The ability to motivate students and aid them in becoming self-disciplined and effective time managers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed attorney in the state of Oklahoma.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed attorney in the state of Oklahoma.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged sitting or standing may be required to fulfill the job duties.
