About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree in the Design/Drafting Technologies program. The focus of this instructional position will include teaching in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, SoildWorks, Revit, CADWorx, Civil 3D, GIS, & SDS2. This will range from fundamental drafting basics to advanced design techniques and 3D printing.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university; master's degree preferred. Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree requirement with appropriate approval.
Experience:
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Five (5) years documented successful work experience in related industry. Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred. Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies. Certifications, Registrations, and/or
Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma driver's license is required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or
Knowledge:
Skills and Abilities :
Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives. Must be skilled in the use of appropriate software and technology related to design and drafting. Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary. Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment. Superior interpersonal skills-including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner. Must exhibit characteristics of a team player, willing to take initiative and assume responsibility. Ability to foster and support innovation and excellence.
Communication Skills :
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.
