The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Villanova School of Business is seeking applications for a Tenure Track position beginning Fall 2027. This person will report to the Chair of the Accounting and Information Systems Department. Our primary recruiting focus is at the rank of Assistant Professor; both recent graduates and experienced Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. This person will primarily teach courses at the undergraduate level, and is expected to incorporate AI and other discipline-related emerging technologies into related coursework. The faculty member is expected to publish high quality research in any area of accounting, targeting top peer-reviewed academic journals. Service expectations are commensurate with hiring level and candidate's prior experience, and will include participating in curriculum development activities and engagement with students, alumni and the broader accounting community.Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. with some relevant teaching experience, potential to publish in high quality journals, and a willingness to work in a collegial environment.Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. with a demonstrated track record of high-quality teaching across courses in the financial and managerial accounting series as well as evidence of excellence in working with students. An ability to innovate within the curriculum. Professional experience with a CPA license is also preferred. Demonstrated willingness to work with other faculty and contribute to a collegial environment. Physical Requirements and/orUnusual Work Hours:
