Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Instructor in Cyber Operations The Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences at The Citadel, located in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, invites applications for a full-time, 9-month faculty position at the rank of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Instructor, with a start date of January 2026 or August 2026. About The Citadel The Citadel is a fully accredited, public, comprehensive, co-educational college serving approximately 2,300 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate, online, and evening undergraduate students. About the Department The Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences includes 7 full-time and 7 adjunct faculty members.

The B.S. in Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission's General Criteria and Program Criteria for Computer Science.

Position Responsibilities Responsibilities include:

Teaching undergraduate courses in cyber operations and computer science Teaching graduate courses in computer and information sciences or cybersecurity (Assistant Professor) Typical teaching load: 12 contact hours/week (Assistant Professor), 15 hours/week (Instructor) Student advising, scholarly activity, and service to the institution The Citadel supports faculty development with internal funding for research, travel, and professional growth.
