Non-Tenure: Visiting Assistant Professor

Description The Department of Political Science, Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University ( http://bush.tamu.edu/pols ) is recruiting for one visiting assistant professor (non-tenure track) full-time, nine-month position for the 2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029 academic years. The faculty member will be expected to able to teach courses at the graduate level on the analysis of data pooled across time and space. This will include time series analysis, spatial econometrics, and analyses techniques that combine the two. In terms of research, the department is seeking a candidate to work on research projects who has a demonstrated expertise in the following areas: analyses of time series data, analyses of time series cross sectional data, and Monte Carlo simulation. The successful candidate will be expected to have a completed Ph.D. in political science. In addition to teaching, the department would expect the visiting assistant professor to remain active in research related to political science methods. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2026. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Bush School of Government and Public Service was founded in 1997 under President George H. W.
