Opportunity:
  • The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Physician, the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic health system and a collaborative team of clinicians and researchers. This position offers the opportunity to engage in clinical care, contribute to the education of pediatric residents and medical students, and develop a productive funded research program.
  • Position Overview:
  • This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system.
The successful candidate will:
+ Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions. + Provide comprehensive pediatric coverage within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UTMB campuses. + Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

  • + M.
D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school. + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency. + Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine + Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License. + Current
U.S. DEA
Practitioner registration. + U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S. + Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education. + Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.
  • Income Package:
  • + Salary will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience. The position includes a provision for dedicated research time. In addition, UTMB offers a superior benefits package, including an excellent retirement program and a relocation allowance.
